Those in the animal kingdom have been doing yoga long before the invention of a yoga mat and soothing tunes. It is no surprise that many of the poses that make up your yoga sequence are named after animals—crow, pigeon, downward dog, dolphin and cat-cow, to name a few.
Maybe we can skip going to our weekly yoga class and learn some new moves via our pets instead. Here is our animal inspired yoga routine that we are sure will cause some laughter and yogi motivation:
To start get into downward facing tiger:
Move into upward facing walrus:
Make your way into the polar bear plow:
Get into the elephant trunk stand:
End your practice with lazy lion savasana:
